Obed | Ruth 4

As the story closes in chapter 4 the author has answered the question about new life. There is a boy who has been born with the name of Obed who will carry on the family lineage. We can trust God with our pasts, and our futures, as well as with the time that we have right now. He is a great redeemer!

Redeemer | Ruth 4

In chapter four we see two redeemers, one without a name and one named Boaz. One who would be willing to redeem just the land, but one who is willing to redeem land and perpetuate the name of the dead. A chapter of ordinary or extraordinary!

Rest | Ruth 3

Ruth finds hope for rest in Boaz her redeemer.

What If… | Ruth 2

As the second chapter opens in the book of Ruth the narrator gives us a hint about the man Boaz, and as we read he challenges us as followers of God in our words we use, the compassion we are to show, and the generosity we offer to those who wander into our lives. May our actions make great the God in whom we know.
